PROJECT SMART VOTE

Major achievements:
5 Smart Youth groups in 5 districts established.
125 Youth from five targeted district registered themselves as part of Smart Youth Group
20% female are registered member of SYG
105 SYG members empowered through training and meetings
25 meetings organized by SYG to performs different activities of the Project Smart Vote
105 SYG members were trained to continue project activities
100 youth trained and started to take up issues of youth in their local community
7000 youth were contacted to sign CoD in all five districts during which they were sensitized for Peace Week, tolerance and democratic practices, concept of volunteerism, active citizenship and facilitate accountability.
100 letters to the editors send by the SYG and other stakeholders to local and national newspapers raising local community’s issues to its elected representatives
238 youth from communities of 5 districts participated in 15 FGDs and shared their problems and issues collectively
1000 community members sensitized for Peace Week, tolerance and democratic practices, concept of volunteerism, active citizenship and facilitate accountability through week long activities of PEACE WEEK. large number of youth awarded and sensitized through 55 project activities reported in newspapers, local FM news and electronic media
135 SYG members along with other stakeholders developed the COD by finalizing the Constituency Vision 135 stakeholders in finalization of COD along with SYG in five districts.
5 TV programs from 3 districts sanitized youth in large numbers 155 project activities reported in newspapers, local FM news and electronic media.
12 Young Journalist from five districts become part of SYG.
100 SYG members trained and used web portal at advance level and now sharing its usage with other youth in their respective communities
137 SYG and young community members were trained and informed about how to use the website. Public Forum/ Peace week (includes activities like Peace Walk, Friday leaflets, Information booths at public places, Sports Events, Family Lantern Parade, Peace Week Schools Showcase
